Do I need a fishing license?

No. Our charter license covers everyone aboard.

How many people can come?

Six guests, max. That is a Coast Guard rule for our vessel, not a preference. Kids count as guests.

Can kids come?

Yes. The quarter day is the best trip for young kids. Bring snacks and a hat.

Do you supply the gear?

Everything. Rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and a live well. You bring food and drinks.

What should I wear?

Soft-soled shoes, a hat, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket for the morning run out.

What if I get seasick?

Take motion sickness tablets the night before and the morning of if you are unsure. If someone gets sick, we can turn back, but the trip is complete and there is no refund.

Do you keep the fish?

You do. Everything legal you want to keep is cleaned and bagged at the dock. Size limits, bag limits, and seasons are set by the state and the feds, and the captain has final say on what stays in the box.

Can I get video of my trip?

Yes. Every trip is filmed from the bridge and the transom. The Cool Breeze Highlight Reel is a short edited video of your day, delivered to your phone by text. $50 per trip. Add it when you book or ask at the dock.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The captain calls it. If we cancel, you choose a full refund or a new date.

What is your cancellation policy?

More than seven days out, full refund. Inside seven days, the deposit is non-refundable unless we can fill the day. No-shows are charged in full.

Do I need to sign anything?

Yes. Everyone aboard signs a waiver before we leave the slip, and every party gives us an emergency contact name and phone number.

Is the tip included?

No. Gratuity for the captain and mate is not included. Fifteen to twenty percent is customary.

Where do we meet?

Garrison Bight, Key West. We send the exact slip and parking directions when you book.

Can we bring alcohol?

Yes, in moderation. No glass. The captain can end a trip early, without refund, if anyone is unsafe.

Do you run sunset cruises?

Yes. Two hours, no rods, up to six guests. $300.
