Do I need a fishing license?

No. Our charter license covers everyone aboard.

How many people can come?

Six guests, max. That is a Coast Guard rule for our vessel, not a preference. Kids count as guests.

Do you supply the gear?

Everything. Rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and a live well. You bring food and drinks.

What is your cancellation policy?

More than seven days out, full refund. Inside seven days, the deposit is non-refundable unless we can fill the day. No-shows are charged in full.

Do you run sunset cruises?

Yes. Two hours, no rods, up to six guests. $300.

Terms and Conditions

Tight Lines Legacy LLC (doing business as Cool Breeze Charters)

These terms govern your use of the websites coolbreezekeywest.com and tightlineslegacy.com and any booking, purchase, or communication with Tight Lines Legacy LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our website, booking a trip, or opting in to our text messages, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings and payment

Trips are booked through our online booking system or in person at the dock. A booking is confirmed when payment or a deposit is received.
Prices are listed per trip unless stated otherwise. Fuel, bait, ice, tackle, and Florida fishing licenses for passengers are included. Gratuity for the captain and mate is not included and is customary.
Payment is processed by third party providers. By paying, you agree to their terms as well.

2. Cancellations and weather

The captain calls the weather. If we cancel a trip for weather, sea conditions, or mechanical trouble, you choose a full refund or a reschedule.
If you cancel more than seven days before departure, you receive a full refund.
If you cancel within seven days of departure, the deposit is non-refundable unless we are able to fill the day.
No-shows are charged in full.
Seasickness is not grounds for a refund. We can return to the dock early at your request, but the trip is considered complete.

3. Passenger requirements

Our vessel carries a maximum of six passengers, as required by U.S. Coast Guard rules.
All passengers must sign a liability waiver and release before boarding. Passengers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf.
Each party must provide an emergency contact name, phone number, and email.
The captain has full authority over the vessel and all persons aboard. Passengers must follow the captain's and crew's instructions at all times.
We reserve the right to refuse boarding or end a trip early, without refund, for anyone who is intoxicated, unsafe, or abusive.

4. Assumption of risk

Fishing and boating carry inherent risks, including but not limited to rough seas, weather, slips and falls, seasickness, sun exposure, and injury from fishing gear or fish. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree to the terms of the liability waiver you sign before departure.

5. Fish and catch

All fishing is subject to state and federal regulations, including size and bag limits and seasonal closures. The captain has final say on what is kept or released. We do not guarantee that fish will be caught.

6. Website use

Content on this website, including text, photos, and logos, belongs to Tight Lines Legacy LLC or is used with permission. You may not copy or reuse it without written consent.
We try to keep website information accurate but do not guarantee it is free of errors. Trip details, prices, and availability may change.
Links to third party sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Text messaging (SMS) program terms

Program description. When you opt in to text messages from Cool Breeze Charters / Tight Lines Legacy LLC, you may receive trip confirmations, reminders, departure and weather updates, and customer service messages. If you separately opt in to marketing messages, you may also receive occasional offers and news.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your bookings and interaction with us.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

Opt out. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed. You will receive no further messages unless you opt in again.

Consent. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of booking a trip or making a purchase.

Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. Your mobile number and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tight Lines Legacy LLC, its members, employees, captains, and crew are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the trip in question.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Monroe County, Florida.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top shows the last revision. Continued use of our website or services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
